We are a military family with 2 returning Iraq veterans; OIF, March 2003 - August 2004, He deployed to Iraq in his second stop-loss extended 15 month deployment; Dec 2007 - April 2008. Now he has standing orders for deployment to Afghanistan. I believe it is a sacrifice too large to ask of him, his wife and their three children.
'Let's go home son' is how we captioned the photo

another Washington state MFSO family drove down to Crawford. Doug and Linda arrived after I had left. This is the banner made by Linda, with help from volunteers Frankie, Faith and Jennifer. The banner was carried with the thousand written letters to Laura Bush.
Hi, Lietta. Linda Jansen here. Just for the record, Doug was actually dragooned out of camp to drive a rental truck the day the banner needed to be made. I asked for some volunteers at the morning camp meeting and this banner was put together by Frankie, Faith, Jennifer and myself. None of these women are formally members of MFSO, but they were all there to support Cindy and the other military families speaking out. It was very much in the spirit of Camp Casey, where any job finds willing hands to take it up. It was a wonderful experience being in Camp Casey with these folks, all dedicated to stopping this war.
